The fourth single released in Great Elk's series of stuff entitled "Odds, Ends, Whispers, Shouts", "The Promise" was originally written and performed by the British 80's band When in Rome. Paul has been playing it at solo shows for years and last fall he finally recorded it, along with a handful of other songs, live at The Isokon in Woodstock, NY.
